Web 2.0
Web 2.0 is a way of communicating that has become possible in recent years. In web 2.0, individuals both skilled and unskilled have the means to contribute to a network. Together, they create, edit, and distribute ideas. Websites like Myspace provided users free web urls and user friendly ways to create and edit individualized profiles. Where before loading and uploading documents and images was time consuming, costly, and complicated, users could upload photos and videos in a matter of seconds. Websites that changed the face of the internet prompting the adoption of the term Web 2.0 include Myspace, Facebook, flickr, blogger, and Wikipedia.
